Well more like American McGee's Alice.
Haven't been very inspired of late but I sat down and drew this out a couple of nights ago straight into PS, something that I don't do very often.
Comments and crits always welcome.
Thanks.

and a close-up

nice pict., and the hair is great. one thing that came to mind as soon as i saw it was that the blood drops on her face are not quite correct. if she has drops on her face then so be it, but if they are smeared then the whole drop would need to be smeared. or if your trying to portray them as dripping down her face then i woul have the more bulbus part of the drop on the lower end of the dripping line, since it is the heavier part. one other thing is that her nose seems a little too thin for her face. but really, i do think that this is a good pict. just needs some touch ups. i look forward to more picts by you. good luck!

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated.
I'm not quite sure what happened with the blood splatter, that'll be corrected. And I see what you mean Bjorn about the hand, thanks.

Axl, I really like the smooth, almost clay-like finish your pieces have. Do you use the airbrush, or a paintbrush/airbrush combo, or strictly paintbrush?

Looks to me like the blood spattered up at her. I think it looks about right.

ym only gripe (beside the upside-down blood), is that her chin is a little too thick... i think it should be less wide and a little more pointy with then chin. also, it looks a little 2d- some shading will fix that easily
other than that, very cool. nice hair!

*nod* What tinusch said. But, your blood is not realistic at all..

What i mean by this is how it has been applied to her face. First, you must understand that when a limb gets severed, numerous veins, arteries, etc. get severed. Now, the heart is doing its job pumping blood you see, and once these blood carrying vessels are severed, all the blood is going to come out under pressure from a very small opening.

this would result in more of a mist of blood rather than splatters of blood....

... wait no.. i think all that information is completely wrong..musta palyed some video games or something too much.

but honestly, would look better if the drops were smaller and more varied around the face, as i'm assuming when she's killing her face is looking straight down at the hapless victim.

My crit is , the drawing is great don't get me wrong, the nose and surrounding features are all well shaded , and stick out in a 3-d manner , however the face , particularly the eyes down look flat.. maybe a little more shading on the sides would expose the depth.

"Don't be afraid...I won't hurt you...much." was the first thing that came to mind.

I like this a lot, especially the eyes and the knife...

My only real problem (aside from the rather strange bloodspatter) is her hand...when I look at it I don't get the feeling her thumb could actually fit around the knife...more like the hand is in front of it. just my opinion.

Make more of this stuff though, it looks good!

Da Bjorn

Again, thanks to everyone for your comments and crits.
sacrelicious: Thanks. I only ever use the paintbrush, both hard and soft with a setting of normal and 10% opacity.
Tinusch: Good call, although I'm getting more comments about it looking wrong so I'll end up changing it.
EviLToYLeT: I know what your saying about the blood, seen it on one of those murder detective shows.
