You're back!

I was going to post "Oh Red Sow Where Art Thou?" in Random Musings. Thought after the last forum crash you'd left us for good, but nice to know you've been hanging out at the fair...

Anyway, I like. Looks like a larger version of what keeps flying around my kitchen and patio. Maybe roughing up the texture a bit from all my flyswatter attacks? Then again, that probably wouldn't transfer well to a t-shirt. The perspective seems a bit off in a place or two, but that could be my lazy eye...

Glad to see you post again.

Waldo- I feel so needed. I think the perspective is wacky cuz the shape of the ship (I started with a 3D model) is kind of.. um, organic.

Ed- You crazy hoodlum, how the hell could you tell that was lightwave when I totally drew all over it? Nice call.

Hey I love the colours, yet the design seems kinda comic, because of the bulbous and dart idea..I don't neccesarily like that as much.. I do however like the way you have done the thrusters.. they look cool.

Overall an 'A' for you.. good work.

That's really well done. The look reminds me of Mars Attacks!, which is good. I realise that it's for a t-shirt, but the white background is really washing the whole thing out (especially the lovely work on the thrusters). How 'bout whacking it into an environment for us? I wanna see those bad boys glowing...

Very cool Greenpeach. Uhm is this photoshop or 3D? As mentioned, you could try adding some small blopps and blipps/windows to define a bigger sense of scale

Collosimo- Thanks. It's a round comic looking ship because that's what my boss likes. Go figure.

myriad- Again, the white background was a job requirment. At first I had some color coming out of the engines to try to give a shape the the burn off but it looked bad. "It's good enough" is our office motto.

Binke- Thanks, I think your right about more windows and stuff. I made a real sloppy model in Lightwave using the lathe and mirror tools, then painted it up in PS. When I try to completly finish an image in 3D it never looks very good. I think that unless you NEED it to be 3D (here I just needed one 2D image) then the fastest way to get a good image is to finish it by hand.

peace

Very clean, very nice--excellent. I think perhaps the nose of the craft would look a bit more 3-dimensional if it were in deeper shadow, but apart from that, great work. I love the colours.
