Very nice design. The colours are a little unusual from the websites that I normally see but they work well. I think the 'header' area might be a little too big where the "9" and the character breaks the panel. It seems to take up the top 2/5 of the screen and makes the left nav a little ackward as the "content" heading is not in line with "headlines" and "changes being done".

yeah, the colors are nice. can't see enough text to keep me interested when the page has just loaded. the little tears or scars or what is is in the menu dont look good.. like gif errors, not like wanted.

i thought the scar things looked alright, but it would look better fi they were down the sides of the whole menu, not just at the sub headings

alround good though

This is a very nice design, good colour, good informational hierarchy, however, it looks a tad too navigational.

I guess the best piece of advice I can offer, becuase it's always been my design theory:: The best website design looks more like a print piece, instead of a website. Make sense?

Your site just looks very informational and database driven, but I think there are more creative ways to go about presenting the information (while still being usable by a database, if you are indeed needing one).

Websites that don't look navigational always work better as designs...try to bring all the elements of that site into one piece, instead of separating everything with standard header on top, menus on left, content in middle.

You've already shown that you have fine layout ability, now try to go the extra step and turn it into a piece of art. I think you can do an extra good job here, that's all. But, you can also just take this with a grain of salt, because I don't expect you to change the whole thing :) Anyway, best of luck to ya, good job.

thanks again.

i think i will give the menu one more try, and see if i can work out something better

to Sc00p
thanks for the tips, i understand what you mean, and if the people i'm making the design for want it that way, i'll give it a go.
the site will become database driven, when its done

(:

pretty nice...

I do like the overall site. I think Sc00p is right, you have the ability to go further on the creative side. Think about what sort of image you want to promote about your clan.. No doubt you want to display a dynamic, destructive, powerful, exciting, Elite Clan. So design your site that way. Think Dynamic, Powerful, Exciting, and do it.

I like the menu seperations, that jaggie effect is good, clever. FAirly origninal too, I dont see that very often. I'll remember that in my design ideas 'Brain'.
