i would just like to point out that this stuff is disgusting. it has everything to it; a little bit of korn, a little bit of limp bizkit, a little bit of slipknot, and a fuckload of pretentious wannabe trent reznor like angst, a fuckload of attempt at sounding hardcore with top ten brit-pop rock sound and whiney vocals and irritating electronics.

and dear god fuck me sideways this stuff is advertised as 'hardcore' and 'one of the best albums of the year' and god knows what else..

for fucks sake even the cover art is horrible..

actually i'm listening to the album for the 4th time today, i'm seeing whetehr i can get used to it or not..

there's a few short bits (3 to be precise) where i like the way the vocalist uses his voice, or the melody to be precise. he still sounds too much like the Korn bastard.

I feel neutral about them.

I wouldn't turn it off if it's on the radio, but I wouldn't buy the album either.

I don't think the singer sounds like Korn. The Korn guy is far more whiny and irritating.

I actaully think this band has better songwriting(melody and structure)than some of the other bands with similar sound.

Being "hardcore" and "heavy" does not = being good.

Actually, I don't listen to any of the bands mentioned in this thread so far(I stopped listening to the radio many years ago. Too much crap flooding the market). I don't care much for any of them. I'm 0ld school. I listen to Pig, Bigod 20, Curve, and other bands that influenced the bands you guys listen to.

I thought Linkin Park was the worst band EVER, but now after a while... I kinda dig them. You have to listen to the tunes quite a few times to start liking them..They are not great, but they are decent.
I like the blond vocalists voice (the one that is not rapping). Kinda sucky though, they dont have a bass player! All the bass is electronical..ugh.

Linkin Park and Crazytown I have no interest for.
Anybody else notice mainstream music is at the lowpoint of the cycle, kinda like the 80's revisited. More power ballads getting played, the keyboard is coming back, the nu-metal crap is almost as bad as the 80's hair band metal. And of course boybands and "gangster"(thoughtless) rap.

Linkin Park is a disgrace to all sound. They make my ears cry. Wannabe hip teenage angst combined with boring/uninventive guitar riffs? Baby Jesus would make music a sin if he heard these guys. They're THAT BAD.

Crazy Town.. Good god. Butterfly or whatever it is is just a RHCP song LOOPED. They don't even play it. The drummer hits the high hat with his left hand, the guy tries to be white guy ghetto hip. C'mon.

Tool gets boring and repetitive after listening to it for more than 20 minutes. One song at a time is amazing, but my brain hurts after the 8th track.

Radiohead is cool, if you can get over the pop-ness.

Limp Bizkit can't write a song without spelling out their name or saying the extremely original "Fuck off, y'all!" more than 93 times a minute. Fred Durst is a moron, and DJ Lethal needs to learn to do more than just recording a 3 second phrase and playing it randomly throughout the song. Simply, Limp Bizkit is a waste of .. .. . everything. One of the worst bands ever.

KoRn. Once again, you have the pop rock bands trying to be dark and edgy. Albeit the instrumentalists are fairly talented, Jonathan Davis and the drummer(s) just.. are stinky.
