Ok this is a sketch I did
and this is the "painting" that resulted from it
(don't mind the colors, I'm colorblind)
anyways, you see my problem. So besides rip this pic to shreds can you also tell me how to make the coloring look more like the original pencils. I seem to loose sense of form somewhere in the coloring process.
oh and also can someone give me some hints on how to make lighting and depth seem realistic with just a few brush strokes (I have seen this in works of micke, spooge and others) |

ok, in the line art, you have drawn the features of a white man, with the larger forehead, and the narrow nose, even the amount of space you put between the nose and upper lip, they all contribute to the character himself, my suggestion, make him white, a pale white
of course his design also leans to where he could even be some sort of a 'creature' maybe sea/swamp, ya know scales/fins etc., |

I am made of solid chocolate, and I'm here to take on the easter bunny!.... DIE WABBIT !
OK, lemme settle down. I like where ya going with it, maybe a better skin tone color would make it more believeable. Hope I dint offend you, I didn;t mean to. |

hijinx: tnxs for the comments. Good suggestions. I actually wanted to make him human like but the fact that I'm color-blind doesn't help
swampbug: lol. no offence taken. All suggestions are welcome. A better skin tone would indeed help but it ain't easy when green (it's green, right?) seems like a good color to use when you're painting humans damn colorblindness again
