Haven't visited the forums for a little while. I got X-MEN on video for my birthday recently and drew this at around 1a.m this morning. Used a biro.
Tell me what you think.
Thanks.

not bad even though i have a bias for the wolverine with the pointy hair and thick chops. i like the musculature in the forearms and chest...though i would like to see the legs in a more finished state. nice work on the hair on the arms and chest...uh cool.

uh one more thing...i would suggest lowering the belt to right over the genital area. no, im not a pervert, but you would make him look more like a regular person, and not a old man. tee hee.

yeah chops are just sideburns...but i understand how you got confused. ok ok, so i looked at the pic. again and it looks like from the musculature on the stomach that his crotch is too long, and that his belt line is more or less in the right spot. all i know is that there is a peculiarity in that region that is erkking me.

Thanks mellowsmoothe. Not too sure about lowering the belt, I think he's showing enough as it is.
Chops refer to cheeks (face) in Ye Olde England but you can't see much of his face. So what do you mean?

Axl,

I would agree; the waist/belt to crotch area is too much.

I don't know if the short arms was intentional(because they work so very well in this)but FYI, for "correct" proportions they should be extended about a hands length.

I think the pants look a little bare compared to the detail of the upper chest. Don't really know what you can do to fill it up, maybe some crosshatch shading or so?

anyway, good work

minus

ps. by chops he meant muttonchops (if you don't know what they are, think really long, wide sideburns - check out american president martin van buren portrait for example - heh, I don't know why I only thought of van buren, but... yeah).
