Grendel Khan: Very nice portrait indeed, and one of my fave B&W movie actors! The only thing that looks a bit odd is the lighting under his right eyebrow; it looks as though it's coming forward a bit too much. Other than that, excellent painterly style and nice choice of hue. I've started using Painter Classic instead of Photoshop for a while and I'm getting to like Painter alot.
I've often wondered if Peter Lorre wasn't the inspiration for the character Brain in "Pinky and the Brain".

Great man!
The pale colours are very moody and you've captured his expression pretty well |

Hello, I did this painting with Paiter Classic after seeing a Peter Lorre photo on another forum.
Comments and crits are welcome, of course.

ceenda: thanks a lot! Yeah, Painter Classic is a good program, a bit limited but it's great for this kind of things.
I don't think i really understand what you're pointing about the lightning, do you mean that his eye looks out of his place or something like that? (sorry, my english is pretty limited)
Ragnarok: Gracias!

Grendel Khan, really nice one!
Maybe it would be a good idea to post the reference photo to see how you have adapted it...anyway, good job! |
