meh.. ive lived with the american school system my whole life.. it works for me...
btw.. way back in my day (ok so it wasnt that long ago im a freshman in college) middle school (jr. high) was grades 7 and 8... none of this 6 or 9 crap... jr. high was just a middle grounds in between elementary and high school.. you were there and then you were gone in seemingly no time.

Oh yea.. and in high school we had "block schedule". We would meet for 6 classes on monday, 1 hour per period, and 3 classes on the other days, 2 hours per period.

Damn that block schedule and its obvious educational advantages.

I go six classes a day, 50 minutes each, 5 days a week, 36 weeks a year, 1170 hours, 70200 minutes, 4,212,000 seconds..

I've managed to bring every teacher I've ever had to the verge of tears.
