Mike May put on a little drawing exercise titled 'The end of the warrior' (i think).

Anyway, heres my try. Not overly happy with it, its too stiff and contoured but crits would be appreciated.

nice shading and textures but the sheild looks like he is holding a picture more than a sheild.

Lukias, where have you been? We've missed your incredible pencil skillz.

This is a cool piece. I was going to do something for the CCC too, but didn't get around to it yet. I love the attention to detail, and how everything "feels" solid, real. Really good. Post more!

The man returns.
I'm liking it...spechly the tree roots and the hand resting on the sword hilt. I do agree with Bubonic on the shield issue, you should whack a chunky border/edge around it.

Hey Lukias Nice image. I like a lot of the linework especialy in the tree (for some strange reason ) lice and loose but still holding together. overall I think it lacks some contrast in places. maybe add some darker darks in a few places to make it pop. there's a bit too much grey.

but other than that, tis good shtuff

ahhh this is beautiful work Lukias I agree with the above, I love the shading on the tree, the texture on the clothes is wonderful, and his posture and expression are great--good job!
