'Been away for awhile, thought I'd post something. Like the new format, I think it makes it easier for busy guys like me to sift through the once-every-week or so I get on here!!
This isn't actually new, I just haven't been able to post it until it was published. This is a design I did for this year's Rockford Fosgate car-stereo catalog. Some of you may remember the one I did last year (if not, it's up on my web-site).
This year they wanted a more 'updated', streamlined version, as well as a bunch of 'factory' settings for their components and a mechanical scorpion. I'll post some of that stuff too if anyone's interested. The final images in the catalog were done in 3D by my good friend & Strata God Frank Vitale. The wolf image is up on the R.F. website. |

Oh cool, this looks great. Actually it reminds me of some of A's stuff that he's posted in recent weeks...the black lines and shiny metallic stuff. I really dig the metals in this piece.

Wow.. that's marker rendered. Ya da marker maniac of cyber wolfdom. I can really apreciate this pic because I just spent this evening drawing with *gasp* construction lines and perspective in mind. It is mind numbing so far :P
Great metals, awesome form! Tastee! |

Great to have ya back! As usual, it kicks ass. However, the 3d version doesn't do it justice-who did the 3d one? Oughta hit 'im over the head with a trout.

Hey there WacoMonkey,
it's funny that despite your name this ISN'T done with a Wacom (the easy eay) it's done with markers (the HARD way!). Well done. Kicks arse.
Also, I must say I'm flattered that Flinthawk compares this to my meagre work. When I can render in markers like this, I'll be a happy man! I'm sure it takes rare powers of visualization to be able to picture this in enough clarity to render in a single no-mistakes session like this.
Cheers, A. |
