I was having a discussion with a friend, he claimed there are not really any incredible British artists out there, which I denied saying there were (of course I couldn't think of any which only intesified his argument). Help me out here people, send me links to some good British artists. My Irish/British nationality needs it

There are a few who spring to mind... Bisley and Fround being two favourites. I'm sure you don't need linkage to find samples of their work. ;p

Roger Dean ( http://www.rogerdean.co.uk ) - artist and architect who did album covers for bands like Pink Floyd, Yes and Asia.

Rodney Matthews ( http://www.rodneymatthews.com ) - artist and fantasy/sci-fi illustrator.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh ( http://www.charlesrenniemackintosh.com ) - Art Nouvea artist, a student of the Glasgow School of Art who have effectively adopted him as patron in recent times (he also designed the building).

And, of course, Constable and Turner, to name but a few of Britain's great artists.
