I have no idea. I bet being warm in California is something you could get used to.

Oddly enough, I was supposed to be in San Diego next week for orchestra, but I can't go now.

Maybe it's a message. God's saving all the geeks and sending all the others to San Diego, where's he'll build a holy fence out of chicken wire and keep them in there.

The meek WILL inherit the earth! WOO!

Solana Beach... aaaahhhh... forever engrained in my mind. A friend of mine and myself just had a short trip there lately... surely there are better things to do (like taking in the sun and watching the endless ocean barefoot in the sand) than using a computer. San Diego is nice enough too... maybe you'll get yourself attacked by Synj if you're lucky! hehe

Panda: Heh.. yeah I know. I love the rain though. It's so great and.. depressing. Maybe it's because I live in a forest of sorts and it looks cool when everything is damp. Sun is cool, but I didn't like it in Florida like it is. Too sunny and unbearably hot.

Frost: Is it really that pretty? Hehe.. i'm looking foreward to getting a tan or something I haven't been on a sunny beach in a while, only in Leavenworth here in Washinton in the summer. Yea synj.. For some reason I'm imagining this orange thing suddenly falling from the sky and landing on me.

hallo,

Ok, so my parents are taking my sister and i to San Diego (well, 20 mins from SD) all next week.. i guess it's a nondescript 'family vactaion' where you do 'fun stuff' like go to 'fun places' and stuff. It shouldn't be too bad.. i think six flags is around there somewhere.

Problem is, I was looking foreward to that week to be at home and work on my senior project. That would mean going online, word processing and painting.. all that crazy stuff. They said that if I'd like to go somewhere i wanted to, like a shop or a park or someone's place, they'd gladly take me there.

So my question is are there any cyber cafes or places I can work on my stuff in the San Diego/Solana Beach area? I mean, a place I can simply work on a computer, rent it, whatever?

Thanks.. I'd appreciate any help

-Laura

I live in San Diego, and seriously, I have never seen a cyber cafe here. But, you could use my computer.

Hello everyone!

So I'm here in San Diego.. well actually Solana Beach. wee! Found a Kinkos and am doing all my stuff there. How fun. This place is nice, it really is, and tomorrow we're going to to zoo.

If you can get into San Diego proper, I'd suggest the zoo. I'm not a big zoo person, but San Diego's is very impressive. It's a bit spendy, but once you're inside you can see where all the money goes. It's the only zoo I've ever been in where the animals looked happy.

Yeeaah.. we went to the zoo alright Nice place. It seemed a little smaller than Seattle's Woodland Park zoo though, but it had a greater variety of critters. I agree with Pat.. the animals looked pretty happy. They were smiling. Not really. But yeah, they seemed to have a nicer place in general to roam around.

Later that week we walked to Mexico. Whoo boy that was interesting. Bought stuff but people were dirty. Especially the boys/men. Um yeah. Towards the end of the week we went to that California Adventure Park (Disneyland spawn).. that one big rollercoaster was awesome.

California was great in general, except for the smog. I think I wouldn't mind getting a job down there and moving to the area. Actually, I'd like that a lot.. the place is beautiful. I think I'd miss all the evergreen trees up here, but everything else would make up for it.
