Ha ha! That's great.
Beautiful old-man hand, by the way. I can't wait to see when it's finished either.
You might want to do something about the pipe, though. At first glance I thought he was drooling blood! Eep! |

looks great so far... well, his mouth looks a little too wide right now. maybe you should work on that.
and yeah: the pipe does look weird. |

thanx now i see what's wrong about the pipe will try to fix that. I think something about the dragon is not really okay. Maybe it should be bigger. |

This looks like it will be a really nice piece when it is done. I absolutely love the armour of the old man and tatoos. They really give him an experienced feel.
My only crits would be that his head seems slightly off and does not look seated on his neck quite right. But the angle you are painting him from along with the slouch of his shoulders makes it difficult to say for sure where the issue is. Just feels off.
With regards to the dragon and the pipe which you seem to not quite like...
The pipes position and/or orientation is off. Either it should be facing forward and clentched between his front teeth or it should be slid towards the corner of his mouth (our right his left).
The dragon is fine size wize. It took me a second to figure out what felt odd about it, but then I caught it. You have created a very western style dragon, but without the western style large wings. This makes it feel more dinosaur like.
The size is fine though. In fact coupled with the old dragonslayer it makes it feel like this is a younger dragon and that this knight after decades of slaying dragons has finally killed the last one and can relax perched on his kill, kicking off his boots.
Again great beginning overall. Can't wait to see it finished.
