Second serious digital painting looking for serious C&C as I have lost all perspective on piece. Sorry if it is too large of a download.

Looking good. Although I can't comment on body proportions, as the picture is too big to fit on my screen.

I like it, it's cool.

I don't get the impression he's walking in a swamp though (I live in britain, I practically live in one ).

He looks like he's walking around in a tomato soup world or something

I like the skull lamp thing, although if that was real fire he'd burn his hand. And his left leg (no, his left!) looks like some kind of grey trousers :P Are you going to change this into chainmail?

That's about it really. I think he kind looks like Garrett off the Thief games

Guy-Incognito, try pressing F11 to make your Browser window bigger (it only works in IE).

Looking good, I agree witht the above post...though it doesn't much look like a swamp..more like a lava area..or hell...like somthing out of Dante's inferno.
As far as the art... his open eye looks slightly smaller then his scared eye, Also there's somthing odd about his exposed leg...like the way it's bent. Keep it up can't wait to see it finished.

Or Opera, for everone's information.

I also like the picture, but I agree with everyone else that his surroundings don't look swampy enough.

What in be-jebus are you talking about? That only takes away your task-bars. If you've got a normal sized screen, that's not going to help you see a 1000x1000 picture.

As I've said many times before, and will say a million times in the future --- we don't all have mammoth sized screens. Keep the regular joes in mind too, okay?

Anyway, on to the actual pic...

Woosh! What a lantern! I definitely wouldn't want to get on this guys bad side. I also love the trees.

The magic fire is really cool. I assumed it wasn't burning his arm because it was the phosphorescent green glow that usually produces no heat.

I do think it would really help the fire POP if you put a few streaks of brighter green on it.

My main problem is with the lighting. If he's holding this big, green light source right next to his face, some of that green should be reflecting off of him.

Thanks for all the C&C...... it is supposed to be sort of a lavaesqe stuff he is walking through. Not done with the leg, so it will look different.
Kaete- I tried to put a brighter green in the face, as it is there is a very subtle green tint. the bright green looked funny, but maybe I will just have to mess with the values a little.
I have spent a while on this as it is the second one I will have finished, but after a while you lose your perspective and start to micromanage every last detail. So thanks for all the suggestions, I will also remember to make it smaller when I repost it closer to completion (or when It is finished)
