This is a new painting I am working on in photoshop. Its going to be about how the U.S. screwed over the indians by taking thier land and handing them desert dried up lands and calling them reservations.
Its got a lot of work to go...I worked on this about an hour or two so far.

I figured I would post a reply to myself!
Not bad Rob, Its a good start but you have a bit more work to do. What are you planning on doing with this image?...right now there is no background or body.
.....why do I even try. I am begining to wonder if people even see my posts or is it just that I see them because they are in my cache or something. |

Want some advice, Rob?
Don't bump up your own messages.
If nobody responds, it's probably because there's no interest.
Let your thread die, or post an update at some point.
But, as long as I'm here.
The paintings not bad. A little flat and 2 dimensional. But hey, it's WIP. Post an update. |

you're off to a good start. i think the lack of comments could be because the painting is in such an early stage. maybe wait until you've completed a bit more before posting so people can get a better sense of where you're going. i'm interested to see how it progresses.
oh, i also read one of your comments on another thread about how you have to post sci-fi or fantasy art to get responses around here. i agree with you completely. this board does seem to have a heavy amount of that type of work. however, i tend to enjoy that type of art... so i guess that's why i like this place. just keep posting, if you produce outstanding work people around here will start to notice it.

Elam,
I wasnt sure if people could see my post because I NEVER get any comments. I bumped it up with my comment hoping that someone would just verify that they see my posts. Now I know that nobody is interested in my artwork, I wont do that again. Thanks for the advice.
thenetbox,
thanks...I will post an update later because I need to finnish this piece for my portfolio...this is why I need comments on whats wrong with it (although, its not very far in the progression...I should finnish a lot more tonight when I am at home) I will post again of a more updated version tonight for people interested.
el scoono,
I have posted works that were completely finnsihed in the past and watch them drop completely off the page in the past. Not just on thie board...so I am not complaining about this board. This place is great! I like all the sci-fi and fantasy here as well...this is what hooked me on this board afterall. I just didnt know what was wrong with my posts as to why I dont get comments. I wasnt complaining...just curious. Anyway thanks for the comments, I will finnsih more tonight and post it again. |
