Well, i was watching an artist collection of bob marley videos on mtv2 the other day and it rekindled my love for the man and his music... so... here's my picture! This one's probably been painted before... it seems like a famous picture of him.

Haha... that's awesome... i guess this is just another one of my pieces that only gets one or two replies. Are they not good enough or what? what's the secret to getting good critiques on this board or any?  just curious. |

| thats reminds me of a Jimi Hendrix painting, and Rob Ashley, youv'e only ever posted twice so no wonder you dont get replies. and the secret to get replies is not to do elves and fairies and stuff, NUDITY is the key. |

Good rough pic. You did a nice job with the lighting.
The secret to getting replies is to post pictures of elves orcs farries knights or anime. If you post anything else....unless you are as good a spooge or the other greats...no replies. I have the same problem...I never get replies to my work. It doesnt stop me from posting...I figure if I post enough to annoy, I will get a reply someday.

Don't worry about # of replies man. It's luck of the draw. It seems to be the number one complaint on this forum.
Take a respected poster, who posts an awesome artwork, and subtract the number of "WOW! TOTALLY AWESOME, NO CRITS HERE!" posts, and you can see that.
I've seen several posts by the elites here sink past the first page into oblivion with hardly an acknowledgement, so don't sweat it. |

Swany, I have post a few hundred times actually. You didnt see my sig in my last post?
Nudity does help though....
Either way, now that some statement like what I said before was posted, there might be a discussion under this guys thread!!!
As you can see now there has been 3 posts sense my statement. Although they arent about your art work. That is a bit more difficult.
I have seen posts that were put up only to piss people off and they have had like 50 replies in 20 minutes. (although my statement was not meaning to piss anyone off) |
