Here is my attempt at Buzz, i have had maya for a month and am 16, hopeing to go thru college for trad animation. Tell me what ya think?

hmm traditional animation hehe.. thats ironic.. i dont know.. you post a 3d pic and you tell us you want to get into trad animation.. would expect more like 3d .. Ahh well .. nic picture .. im nmot much of a 3d buff though..

anyways maybe if you want to get into traditional animation you should concentrat your efforts on drawing the human figure , anatomy , perspective and stuff like that...

anyways nice image once again..

No, what i meant to say is that I want to do "TraDIGITAL" animation, i was just too lazy to put the digital, sorry about the mixup, what do you think of the model tho?

maya is very good...
takes a bit to get hang of its unautherdox rendering system thow.

Well, to be really honest, it's pretty nasty looking.

It really needs alot of rework done. Easier to just to start from scratch. That way you can try different technics to see which ones work best. But since you've just started I'd say leave the higher powered tools like NURBS, SubDivsion Surfaces, and most of your animation tools until sometime around 6 months from now.

I suggest that you look at the various web-based tutorials on how to build people. It almost doesn't matter what program the tutorials for just as long as it has plenty of clear and easy to follow pictures.
