So, im pretty much complete with the glass now i think. Brought out some more red in the darker areas, and increase the thickness of the glass lines.
I feel like im struggling with the stone area around the glass, maybe a different design is needed. anyways, here it is. C&C appreciated.

quick update..
changed some stuff, went back to thinner lines, added some drapes, and made the wall look better(hopefully). image seems to have a better balance now. the drapes might be pulling away from that maybe?

looks nice
the window looks about right.. just the guy.. can't place it.. but there's something odd.. hmm.. maybe it's the lines/curves.. they don't look as smooth as the rest.. bit rough looking..
hope you know what i mean.. |

wow! its coming to life now
add some more texture for the stone, give it a rough, grainy feel, this should be a nice contrast with the glass
are u not going to give the knight a face? |

much better! i agree on the jaggie edges, smoothen it out a bit. some texturing on the glass would be appropiate. |

Looks good.
Like rc said, add some texture to the pillars/walls
also perhaps you could try to do something with that foot? It seems a little small and out of perspective with the rest of the knight.
I wouldnt give the knight a face tho, it seems more erm.. Spiritual (not the word im looking for but its as close as im getting tongiht) as it is... |

It looks good and is getting there. Keep working on it, remeber glass has a translucent element, don't leave that out. Dont forget about reflected light, some light bounces of the glass onto the stone and curtains. The agree with the previous comment the stone needs more texture and more sharpness.

thanks for all the interesting comments. heres a bit of a background on this image.
im doing some volunteer work for a game mode, which is a remake of "Ulima VI:The False Prophet". Anyways, my team lead wanted to use this image from the ulima 9 book, which is a similar glass pain window. However, he wanted me to use the pose of the character from the box of ulima 6. i didnt want to do that, i wanted to make something a bit more original but was drawing a blank. so, did what he wanted and this is the end result, (close to it anyways).
I've been working on getting some texture to the wall, as well as a bit of a stronger colored light coming from the window onto the wall and drapes.
my reasone for the way the lines look, how soem are straight, and the character is rough and curvy, is i want a strong contrast between the two, and wasnt to comfortable trying to achieve this through color. i hope i makes the character stand out.
no face, mostly because its supposed to be the user, or YOU! heh. i think it give a bit of a mystical, prophetic feel to it as well.
