Hello everone,
I got a graphics tablett (non wacom) a few days ago plus I found a nice introduction for comic painting at www.karmatoons.com and just started painting. Before I only made some small sized sprites pixel by pixel.
This is the result:
I made it up from a design sketch I made for my 2d platformer. I'll try to animate it and put it in the game. (I'll have to scale it down to about 30x50 pixels, so there is no real need for much detail...)
Any constructive critism appreciated.
Please bear in mind that I'm a programmer not an artist - Thus I have an excuse for bad art :-)
greetings sheijk

the thing that bothers me here is flatness...looks like a collage or something. also, his shoulder is a bit off.
any tips how to add more depth ? Just add some more shadow lighting to my shadow layers ?
