there seems to be a lot of "dead space" in the pic... are you planning to put in more "stuff"? also, the muzzle flash seems to be slightly off-alignment from the barrel...
one main gripe i have, though, having done military service myself: the guy really shouldn't be firing his LMG from the hip... |

Yes, I think I'll be adding something in the background, but I don't know what yet, so tips are welcome.
It sounds reasonable not to fire heavy weapons standing up, but I'm only painting what's on my reference pic. The picture is probably set up so it should look "cool" or the guy is just plain stupid, I don't know.
Satan, thanx for the pic. It's the right weapon
nullIs there anyone who could give me any tip on how to paint nice grass? |

military publicity pics are never realistic... those are generally some of the last places to look for that kinda thing... some of the singapore army commando publicity pics have them running into battle with their scarlet berets on...
as for the weapon, are you sure that's the right one? the weapon in your painting looks more like an FN MAG than a Minimi:

To be honest, I don't know which rifle I want it to be
Let's just say it's not finished yet..
I'm still working on it, I just havn't post any result, cause I'm not happy with it. I'm still in need of some useful tips on how to draw the grass and also what to put in the background, I'm thinking of a tank rolling down the hill and some smoke in the horizon... |
