I drew this as a gift for my Ex. He's trying to "talk" to me and further perpetuate an non-existant relationship. He's a pothead, I don't agree with wasting your time liek that. I don't have a problem with it.. but it ruined him... any how... help me with the pic if you could. I know the leg in the background looks funky... any ideas on how to change that?

well that right leg is a serious issue. looks almost detached from his hip, just moving the leg more to the left would help a fair bit i think. also. show a bit more of the thigh on his right leg, cause his leg is bending at an angle towards the wall.

you could also bend his left leg up a bit. i know i can sit very well with my legs stright and flat like that. this could also help to make him look more loose and relaxed, but then again. i dont know. just a thought.

are you going to keep that writing at the top? if so. you should make it a bit darker. i didnt see it at first. putting it at the bottom where all that white space is might work better, but who knows.

keep working at it. it's pretty good so far

Hiya, Ivey!

I agree with Guy: more than anything he just looks awkward, and could use a little bend in the knee. Try sitting in a corner -- if you're going for the bum-against-the-wall look, he'll have to lean forward, perhaps resting his arms on (both) his bent legs for balance. Otherwise, you could draw him as if he were reclining in a chair, both legs out, bong between, and only his upper back and neck would be erect.

Me just throwing out ideas. Here's a sketch playing with posture...

Strange, that sounds like my last relationship. My g/f was such a large pothead she became unable to function alone.

I wouldn't advise giving this to your ex, I at one point was a pot smoking fiend, and if I had been gifted with an image of me smoking a bong, I would boast about it and make about 1000 copies to hang in my room, because pot heads have one motivation... pot.

Just avoid contact with your ex. Let him figure himself out a bit.

This thread just took an odd turn. I sense friction. I'd really recommend not giving your ex this picture if it will only cause hostility.

Yeah, ouch. It's too bad, too, because out of context the pic has a lot of cute happening. Looks like rainy-day casual fun -- well, fun depending on your take. Thingie.

Ivey's got enough to worry about, judging by her LiveJournal entries. No fun having art attacked on personal levels.

So yeah, ouch.
