You know there is something about this that grabs me. Maybe I'm way off but, stylewize the rough and loose linework is striking. The hair and shirt are well matched. It is an uncomfortable image of an untidy person. It makes one wonder what the subject has been through. A hard life? A broken home? Well thats what came to my mind.
Well Done. |

Right, I think "uncomfortable" would be the right word. This image is powerful because of the lines, I think it's as good as done. |

Shiro-tengu, thanks for replying.
it's hard to name a subject cause it's well..the guy is working in a cd shop and umm, he just looked really interesting and so i drew him. complications here at home, so guess that 'broken home' thing is just my personality that got mixed with the image.
and Ahcri - thanks also..you think i should leave it this way??
hehe..'uncomfortable', yes. ..

By itself this picture lacks interest. It looks like an unfinished study. Not quite finished enough, not quite stylized or rough enough. However, I don't think you whould work on this particular sheet of paper anymore.
I think what would have real impact would be twenty or thirty of these posted on a wall. Drawings of folks you see around town, all drawn in the same front-on, detatched, blank background style. That would be an experience. |

I hear that chipie. Hope things improve for you. Your image just needs the right frame and a wall. |

You know what's kind of funny... not funny HA HA but kind of funny.... Just take a quick glace at the picture... Does it remind you of anyone? I looked at very quickly and I saw Michel Jackson. Hehehehe....
Or then again it is late and I'm very tired and I should be going to bed ;-)
but on a more serous crit... the strokes you use in the piece really grabs me. I'm not sure if it's anger I feel or despare, you know where I'm going with this? hehe...
