I really dig the first one, but honestly don't care much for the second one... it has something to do with everything. That is to say, the reason I like the first one so much, is for many reasons. It's a better pose, the b&w work better, it's got a great grainy feel to the ink-wash look, and it's just a better piece overall.

Dunno... there's an off-anatomy thing you've got going that I actually rather like. I can see that you've got schloads of talent, and will rid yourself of these setbacks, but the too-long arms and legs, the stretched torso, long neck and small head... it just looks cool.

Still, the second one doesn't have the strength of the first, but that doesn't mean they're anything short of great pieces. They're both very cool in their own way. You may be exaggerating on purpose, but if not, keep studying the human figure, find out what the measurements are, and then exaggerate from there... it helps a lot more, and you'll find you can push the envelope a great deal farther.

These are cool. Hope the c&c helped.
