Hi I'm kinda new here but I've been following some of the work yall have been posting... great stuff.
Here are a couple of pieces I've been working on in Painter 5.5. I am going to do a series of these I think as a kind of journey through this world I seem to have created.
This one was the first one I did; I believe I'm going to rework it because the second comes closer to what I'd envisioned: http://www.speedsite.com/~lafolli/images/pics/sppyghnogast.jpg
This one is more fully developed I think, plus has more of the ambience I wanted to convey:

second one has great depth. what are you going to do with it? it'd be neat to see some glowy eyes poking through the darkness here and there .. or would that be cliche? *shrug* |

thanks for the replies everyone. no, I probably wont do the "eyes" thing... I'm trying to keep a delicate balance between the abstractness of these and their objectness. In places faces and eyes start to form but I dont want them to be too overt; I think they are more powerful if I'm more subtle with them. |
