Nice to see forums working again.
They annoying grey areas near the edges appeared because of too small scanner and a big picture. This turned out pretty good so far, but once again I'm having problems with contrast or defining light and shadow. All comments welcome.

A reference was used.

not bad. I think the drew barrymoore is the least like the actual person but the poses are pretty strong IMO. Id like to see some more definition.. and a larger pic. :/

keep at it tho.

Remember to start figures from the basic pose motion and then build up the skeletal structure, and then musclular and finally skin and fat structures on top of that. At least until you have enough drawings under your belt that you can feel your way through the shortcuts. These poses aren't bad, but you need more solidity. Refer to the Loomis Project, wherever it's hiding recently. :] For contrast, I suggest for sketches just pick a medium-soft noonday sun and use the side of your pencil-pull down from where you think the shadow should start, beginning fairly hard and easing up as you go down. That'll be an easy start for ya.

Awetopsy - Thanks for comments. You're right about the size, here's a link to a larger pic. Achieving likeness is still a mystery, sometimes I think a picture has resemblance, but I'll realize the next day that it doesn't actually look like the reference..
In this pic the facial likeness wasn't my ultimate goal, but I didn't draw them with my left hand either..

Anthony - So then it shall be back to the basics, but shortcuts always are tempting Thanks a lot for your advice, I'll give it a try.
