heres a model i've been working on for a demo. the basic idea started off as a kid wearing one of those one-piece-footie-sleepers type deals with the built in booties... a dr. denton for you oldschoolers. over time he transformed into a retro-pajama-wearing-astronaut-kid...
sorry for the crosspost.
crits?

Yah, add some "Big ass" headphones with a couple of cords to add detail... nice model. Can you post a textured/rendered version soon? |

That's a kickass model you got there.. only crit i can give is that if you plan to animate it, you should add more detail to the joint areas.
what software did you use? |

snowman - sounds like a good idea. i was already contemplating accentuation his "earmuffs" so they more closely resemble those of an astronaut. i'll see how the astronaut skull cap goes and if its not working, and i have the polys i'll give it a wing. thanks for the suggestion
shaded - thanks
briareos - thanks, sounds like you and snow are looking for a similar style. i'll probabply through some together and see how it looks. i'm hoping to texture him this weekend. if it comes out ok i'll post a pic on monday or tuesday.
bilbo - thanks. i was hoping that i could get away with three xsections per joint, but it sounds like maybe i'll have to up it. i'll play around with him a bit as i rig him. thanks for the suggestion. i'm using max 4 and i think i used maya 4 a bit. yourself? |
