hehe.. that's so cool It's about time someone made something like this.

A few things:
Decide on soft or sharp coloring on the blood. I'd go with sharp - It matches the rest of the image better. Add more shadows, like the shawl things should cast a shadow on the green shirt thing. That, and I'm sure the sun's in there somewhere.. there should be some indication of that in shadows.

thanks for the reply Nova.....in defense of the piece (on the small details you pointed out)

The reason I varied the blood type was due to the texture it is on...the blood on the shirt is diffused a bit since it's obviously sunk into the fabric. It's a bit more defined on the skin because it's simply lying there (and running a bit)

As for the shadows...I agree with you on having the overlapping textures cast shadows (which if you squint you can seem 'em!) But I'm also shooting for a slightly overcast day in Scotland. (i.e. diffused lighting) so I don't want real harsh shadows.

But other than that...glad you enjoyed the piece!

hehehe...thanks Basement bound. The idea actually was kind of a spur of the moment thing.
