hehe.. that's so cool It's about time someone made something like this.
A few things:
Decide on soft or sharp coloring on the blood. I'd go with sharp - It matches the rest of the image better. Add more shadows, like the shawl things should cast a shadow on the green shirt thing. That, and I'm sure the sun's in there somewhere.. there should be some indication of that in shadows. |

thanks for the reply Nova.....in defense of the piece (on the small details you pointed out)
The reason I varied the blood type was due to the texture it is on...the blood on the shirt is diffused a bit since it's obviously sunk into the fabric. It's a bit more defined on the skin because it's simply lying there (and running a bit)
As for the shadows...I agree with you on having the overlapping textures cast shadows (which if you squint you can seem 'em!) But I'm also shooting for a slightly overcast day in Scotland. (i.e. diffused lighting) so I don't want real harsh shadows.
But other than that...glad you enjoyed the piece! |
