okay, this is my first post on the forum here and also some of my first wacom tablet art. I bought a graphire a week ago and have been doodling on it non-stop. It's kind of frustrating though, in that I know I can draw better on paper than I'm doing with the tablet. Oh well.
Here's a quick ink style drawing of actor Dennis Hopper:
I'd love any comments, good or bad. |

I like the combination of spray and paint strokes, but that one rake above the head bothers me.
Good drama. Was it done from a photo? |

Hmmm...
Combination of scratchboard tool, airbrush, round water blender, and smeary round or flat, right? There are a lot of us Painter 6 users out there... and we roll our eyes at easily discovered methods. Try to disguise what tools you use. My favorite art, is where I think to myself, "how'd he do that??" It also looks like you went with the default setting on all of these tools you used. Experiment with the brush controls... opacity, feature (especially feature), and squeeze are the big ones.
You have a cool style going here. Keep doodling on yer new graphire, and like the fella above said, post more!
