OK, I started this one as a low-res sketchy one, but then decided to scale it up and add more detail - started with the head, If you have any tips about how I can improve the face and techniques on how to make the beard/hair fit with the rest of the body( I'm just giving you a cropped part of the image, it all I resized up to now
And please, allow my server some time to transfer it (as somebody said, it must be hung on 28K modem :-(((

Hey there..
I am on a fast cable modem and your image isn't even beginning to load...I'd strongly suggest that you either smack that filesize down with smartsaver (www.ulead.com) OR get a faster server...your image HAS to be enormous..even a 28.8 could whip out a small JPG if it was small enough.
good luck..no image yet.

Uh, NukleoN, he probably took the image down because this thread is a couple weeks old. |

I can see it starting to load now, but it is WAY too slow...I am sure this could be remedied with a re-do of the JPG compression from a Targa or non compressed file. Smartsaver is the way to go....even a puny 28.8 modem could crank out a JPG if it were small enough.

And thanks for all your time and actual attempt to take a look at it :-))) Sorry once again, I've got my account on geocites, and I'm almost finished with this guy now, so I'l post the final in the Gallery... Hey Smartsaver RULES haha. Yes they should pay me a commission. If you go to www.Ulead.com and download the trial, it is AMAZING. I only push this product because you are all pretty cool, and I think you deserve to know this secret weapon of mine for smacking down file size with the best compression.
There was once a web designer I had to deal with, and he could not figure out how I got such small file sizes...well that was my secret, Smartsaver. If you simply save a JPG from Photoshop, Painter, etc., you don't get nearly the control you do with Smartsaver. For $30, it is one of the best lil proggies I've ever bought...and you can buy it and download it from the same site. Awesome.
