i like the great eyes
..and(in the shaded version) the black shadows support them really good....otherwise(the first one) i miss this support..or better..my eyes searchin' for the expected forms of a face.
PS: hope i make my thoughts clear
(im german and my english is not as good as yours )

Yes, the unshaded version is better. The shaded one could be interesteing, but I'd suggest you smooth out the shading and make it less blotchy. The unshaded one has a simplicity to it that makes it more beautiful.

Thanks for the feedback it's really appreciated.
You're right about the unshaded version though Lunatique. The lack of form gives it something and yet takes something away.
Like Duracel says "i miss this support..or better..my eyes searchin' for the expected forms of a face"
Cheers. : )

I prefer the unshaded version because I think it implies more. Simplicity is always the way to go.

The shaded one seem to bring in a more 'masculine' tone taking away from the more roundedness that my eye fills in with the unshaded one.
It may be the more squarish jawline or something. Can't really put my finger on it.
Oh, and the forhead is more pronounced on the shaded one because of the dark shadows under the brows and the high highlight on the forehead.
