What kind of markers do you guys use? I'm not a marker fan, but they look like they aren't solid, or rather partially opaque. Like you can layer them and it works...or am I just mental, and have retardation when it comes to markers? |

Yum! After seeing Bizarde's Rob1 bot, I'm absolutely in love with pistons! That chair has pistons - I love the chair (glee!).
I also really like the coloring and design of the "rusted copper"-colored robot. Sa-weet!
---
The petulent man off to the side is all like: "Why didn't you color me Francis?" Ehehe...
Me: Them's the breaks "petulent man".
Man: "Aw dammit!" |

More important than the markers... What are you using After Effects (Yay!) for?

Thanks - the color sketches are done with Tria markers and the chair is Prismacolor cool greys.
Still practicing while waiting on renders...
ZenDragon, markers are not completely opaque, so you definitely get a layered effect, similar to watercolor.
A., I'm doing some post/compositing work and special effects for some of the animations in Myst 3.

Right on! I love After Effects. Before I bought it, I used Photoshop and thought almost everytime I did something, "How much cooler would this be if it moved?" With After Effects, I can make it move. And so much more....
