i'm aware there have been numorous topics relating to wacom tablets and i have not found answers to some of my questions ... the search wasn't as useful as i hoped it would be.
some questions before i purchase a wacom tablet. i've been searching through ebay and i see that there are wacom's called ARTZ II and DIGITIZERs. Wacom's officials website does not have these 2 products losted in their products list... would these 2 tablets work just as well as the intuos...
i was planning on getting an intuos 6X8 instead of a graphire... |

ARTZ is the older model, thats why you can't find it on WACOM website.
You know that expression, RTFM? (Read the f***ing manual)
I make a new expression.. STFG!!!!
(Search the f***ing Google!) |

If you can afford it, definitely get the intuos. even a small intuos is better than a graphire. of course, i also think the aiptek hyper pen is pretty good, considering the price.
as far as those 2 products...I think they're fairly old- heck, they only come in serial and adb as near as i can tell. i'd say save yourself the trouble and avoid them |

i think the aiptek boards are with 0,45 pen accuracy not very precise |

If you're looking for accuracy then Calcomp is the king of the hill.
Calcomp Drawingboard III H2 : 0.05mm
Calcomp Drawingboard III H1 : 0.13mm
Calcomp Drawingboard III : 0.25mm
Wacom Intuos2 : 0.25mm
Aiptek Hyperpen : 0.42mm
Wacom Graphire2 : 0.51mm
However, unless you use your tablet to do technical drafting where half- and quarter-millimeters matters, and pressure sensitivity does not, this difference in accuracy between the tablets actually matters very little, if at all.

I use a 6x8 Intuos, and it's great. One huge difference in the older models is the pressure depth. I had an old Calcomp that had 256 levels of pressure. I think the Intuos has 1024 (is that right?) At any rate, you can really feel the difference. Go with Intuos. It's the norm. It works. |

The biggest difference will be the price. And also color. The rest isnt much improved, unless someone knows more than i do about it. |
