Hiya.

I'm new to "Illustrator 10", and am having a blast with it.

I do, however, have a few questions.

1 : How do I go about creating layers, and actually using them? I can't for the life of me find the "Send to rear" "Send to front" options....

2 : When I open/import an image, it's entirely too small to work on. Any and all brushes are far too large to pull tracework....which would be nice to clean up my sketches with.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check your manual for that stuff, or if you have a "borrowed copy" then get yourself a good third party book.

At the bottom of the layers palette are a set of icons; one of these creates a new layer.

On a PC you can right click on the object to bring up the "Arrange" option - send to back, front, etc. It's Command click for the Mac - I think.

If you're importing rastars, make sure the size and dpi are correct.
