if your serious about your work and the things you produce artistically in general, the investment of 300 "bux" is well worth that price in the long run. remember, the tablet doesnt make you draw better...its the artist directing the tablet that really makes difference. If you really cant afford one wait until you are able to afford it...meaning practice traditional drawing

True. Figure in all the pencils, charcoal, paint and brushes I'd be buying otherwise and I think the Wacom was a good investment.

Tablet for you! <--- This one's got your name on it, and it has no reserve.

i second pat. paint, canvases, pencils etc can ruin you. besides, wacom are not the expensive part if you like a nice digital setup. monitor prices are far more wack :(

Most traditional artists are trained to draw with their arms instead of their wrists. It enables you to draw smoother arcs, and makes painting more distinct from the act of writing.

Guys who were trained to paint big like big tablets.

300 yikes! got mine for 100, and i got painter classic with it.

something alot of ppl think, ppl that hasnt tried painting a picture with a tablet, is that you need a huge area to draw on, which you most definitly dont (at least i dont)

i bought a wacom graphire, which has a size of A6 paper to draw on.. and thats almost to much! you dont want to end up drawing with your whole arm! moving is across the desk just to reach a point on the picture =P

(please correct me if im wrong, but thats the experience i have with tablets)
