hiya. like a lot of new artists, i'm in awe of and inspired by the art of ashley wood. i've seen many artists' galleries featuring one or two ash 'homages' and many people weaving his style into their own.
what i want to know is, who does ashley wood follow stylistically? i know bill sienkiewicz and dave mckean have similar styles, and ash links them on his site. i think ash also follows the work of gustav klimt, with the abstraction of flattening of forms into dark and light shapes. any other ideas?
