Hello,

I am thinking about baying the Intuos 2 tablet.
If some one has experience working with Intuos and Intuos 2 please tell me about your perceptions during the work with both of them. Was it really different ?
Do you recommend the Intuos 2 ?

Thank you,
Egor

Hi Waxattack, well the differences are quite simple:

Different color, black transparant casing.
Design of the pen is more ergonomicly, its fitted with rubber so you can hold the pen better and it's slightly thicker.

Less sensitive to frequencies of Monitors and mouses or trackballs

( sorry for the english! )

I don't know how much more the Intuos 2 costs. If it's really more expensive
then the Intuos I, I would recommend the Intuos I!

Hello Joranovski,

>> Different color, black transparant casing.

This is not so importand...

>> Design of the pen is more ergonomicly, its fitted with rubber so you can hold the pen better and it's slightly thicker.

This is good argument to bay the second Intuos.

>> Less sensitive to frequencies of Monitors and mouses or trackballs

My work place is organized so, that the tabled is far from the monitor.

Thank you for the replay. Tell me, do you have worked with both of tables ?

Thank you,
Egor

I've been working with intous2 for a while now and like it more than the the first one.

The Differences: it feels like there's more friction to the surface now, no longer like a balpen on glass as the first one did. And the pen is thicker with rubber which gives a nice feeling and better grip. I will by the intous2 for my home soon.

heh, i spent an extra $30 for my intuos I to get the special edition... no difference between the regular intuos I except for the transparent black casing...

i like the new pen, though, and my desk is pretty cramped, so the lower sensitivity to monitors would be nice... too bad i'm not willing to shell out another 300 for yet another intuos just yet... do they perchance have a trade-in plan at wacom?

Intuos 2 is fantastic.. yeah, the surface is definitely nicer. I had a hard time getting used to the pen, but now it's annoying to go back to an Intuos 1

Waxattack,

I am the prowd owner of 3 Wacom's.
One of them is an Intuos A3.
So I've worked quite a lot with the Intuos.
In a shop I tested the Intuos2 and it didn't feel that different. Ok the pen is much better to hold but apart of the cosmetic changes I didn't find it that different.

But it's only my two cents here..

RunAbout, a pen from the Intuos 2 doesn't work on an Intuos 1 and vice versa, different Frequencies.

Hello,

Thank you all for your answers!

The opinions are different, but I think the pen ergonomics is very important.

Joranovski: Special thanks I think I will spend some time in shop to test both of tablets by my self.

Yours faithfully,
Egor
