hey all...

just a quick note.

For those of you who have a well developed portfolio and are capable of doing realistic area textures...and want a job...now is the time to submit.

I am currently reviewing portfolios for a texture artist position at TROIKA GAMES. We need someone who can draw and paint and who can particularily make "realistic" area and level textures for our newest title.

knowledge of photoshop,painter, and 3ds max or Lightwave is entirely preferred.

if you have got "skillz" let me know if you are interested in working on a beautiful 3d game with lots of art and a fun well developed storyline.

experience not necessary but some would definitely help.

Im looking for good color, attention to detail and an understanding of subtle form...the ability to suggest mood and visual feel is a must.

Agh, I wish. I'm guessing you have to move to the location of the game studio?

Why am I even asking, I suck to much right now, hehe. Someday, maybe. Gimme a year, I'll be up to speed.

I left black isle a few weeks ago for a job with a better company (pay, environment, people, attitude etc..). The project is simply better..better engine..better idea..better everything.

Im now project art lead at troika.

yeah..troika did arcanum...the same guys also made fallout over at interplay..then made sort of a team exodus...They make great games..

the only thing I can tell you about the next project is that it is going to have great art..that is the intention...it will also have all the things that the troika boys do best..and that is good gameplay..good story..developed characters etc...

thanks for all the submissions so far...I will pass them around to the guys at work first thing...

What level are you looking for? I'm trying to get into a game company somewhere at the bottom and work my way up. And I tell ya, its not easy. In fact I think I might have to kill to get a job

I'm very interested in what this game is about... even from the vague descriptions it sounds interesting. I love games that involve a lot of art.

there have been some really great submissions...honestly a lot better than I hoped.

thanks to Dhab and the moderators..there are some great artists around here.
