Does anybody know if you are able to create a seperate toolbar with the brushes in Photoshop 6. I like having the toolbar like in Photoshop 5.
I know it's picky, but I've been using Photoshop 6 for 7 months now and I'm still not used to it!!!

Sorry, but i'm gonna be no help. The best middle ground on this i've found is that when you left click when using the brush tool or erase tool it brings up the brush picker. it still sucks cause you have to click off the window to make it go away and if your zoomed in then the only place to click is on the canvas and it makes a brush mark there so you have to ctrl-z then FINALLY you can use it for what you want... Hold it, for those that use tablet this may be even less help... crap. Oh well i can empathize with you and at least now you know your not the only one that wishes we had the old brushes window back.

Tralala...

I don't know if you can do that, but do you know about switching to a larger or smaller brush using the '[' and ']' keys? that's quite handy, I like it even better than the old way. less little windows to hassle with.

It is a pain, and finally I am used to it and consider it better than 5. That took a while.

You have to get 6.01- it has several changes to the way the palette works. The current brush is highlighted in the picker.

Valarian Root, if you double click on the brush you want, the dialog goes away.

i hate the new toolbar.
i hate the open recent command.
i want to rename my layers with a double click like before.

but with the 6.01, you can press enter to see the brush picker appear at the current mouse location.
it's better than nothing...
