Muz, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I got my new intuos on Monday and kicked my old tablet to the door. What size did you get? Word of advice to the others..don't get the 12x12 unless you have alot of desktop space you can give up. I had to build a shelf to hold my printer just to free up the room I needed.

Graphires aren't a waste of money at all. They work exceptionally well for the price. In fact, I think Joachim uses a Graphire. Now, if that isn't a sure sign of what that tablet can do I don't know what is.

I've never seen sasquatch in such close proximity to a tablet . . . perhaps he no longer fears man's technology . . .

heh, sorry Eric . . . that's just a seriously hairy arm you've got there

LMAO! No need to apologize, my mom fed me Miracle Grow as a kid. Either that or I'm Chewbacca's love child.

(I know what you're thinking)
For long enough I'd advise people to do weird things with photoshop. Things like "adjusting the opacity of the paintbrush is to be expected. Get used to doing it a lot" etc. Meanwhile the big guns would always say "Never take your opacity below 100%. There's just no need. More like the real thing" etc. I tried it their way, but it never really worked. That is, until now!

mmmmm soooo sensitive

Poor old ArtpadII, scratched and dented all to hell. I feel like framing it.
(probably should do some pictures and...you know...show them to the artists around here at some stage too.)

Uhh, so in summary; Yay Intuos!
thanks for your time

heh, I only got a mere 6x8 but it's so much bigger than the old one I feel like I'm casting spells or something when I do a big stroke (not really one o' them traditional type artists, me).
The 9x12 and the 12x12 are the same price (slightly more than that 6x8 that is), but I woulda had to wait a bit for the extra cash buffer. Upgrade fever was stronger.

sac': my jump was pretty big. I think Graphires are higher res than the ol' ArtPads. If you can't afford something better at the time, what can you do? You're probably better off with something

Graphires rock! If I didn't have one, I'd wear out that stupid little apple hockey puck mouse in a day! My only complaint would be with that three button mouse it comes with. It looks cool, ergonomically speaking, you never have to clean it. But it's only got that 4 x 6 inch space to move in!

Wacom has a really good product in the Graphire... I still suffer from severe Intuos envy though, so don't rub it in, ok?
