If you know of any companies looking for someone with about 5 years of experience in 3DS MAX. I was team lead for Amateria on MYST III. I was responsible for All lighting and animation in this age. I also model.

If you don't mind working for peanuts, we'll hire you. (mind you, these are very small peanuts, and they're very strictly rationed...) |

McSteed - sorry to hear this - but right now business is not too bad ... at least things are cooking here in LA ...
Anyway, go check at:
www.vfxpro.com - their job listings are great - I remember seeing some 3DSMAX offers too. Game companies are posting too sometimes ...
That's pretty much the coolest source ...
Good luck |

Hey man,
I'm an Art Director, and I'm looking for a good 3D guy. You interested in full-time? You'll have to move to Louisville Kentucky though(it's a pretty nice city. Not as flashy as the Bay Area, but definitely not a hick town either. I just moved from San Francisco to take the job here). |

Hi Chris
My name is Eckhardt Milz and I am the art director at O3 Games in Uppsala, Sweden (about 1 hour drive from Stockholm).
Our company has 31 people employed at the moment and is working on 3 major game titles. We are planning on moving into the TV field by producing computer games for kids and accompanying them with a TV special featuring our game hero.
The 3d animator we are looking for will be working with mocap but everything four-legged plus lip sync will be animated by hand. We are not dead on fixed in using mocap for all of our games, where hand animation looks better it will be considered.
The first step would be seeing some of your animation. I am only interested seeing what YOU have animated. If you have scenes on your show reel which were done in a group effort, please accompany your reel with a letter, pointing out the characters, efx etc. you did.
If we consider you for the position we will invite you to visit us here in Sweden or arrange a meeting in the U.S.
Please send your show reel and CV to:

Why not come to Australia and start a business?
There are only 2 game producers over here, and real estate is pretty cheap.
The local competition is Ratbag Studios and some other little company. Believe it or not, Sydney has one of the highest computer related job densities per state.
Meanwhile, I was kicked up the testes so hard, tha my left one disappeared. The doctors can't find it. It's the phantom nut.
