Hi!
Does anyone know any good books about color theory?
I've always been not-so-good with colors and thought to start learning it now to get better.
I just don't know any good books or authors whose books to get. I checked out amazon.com and they had LOTS of stuff about the topic.
I've alredy read the very basic stuff about color theory so I'm looking for something more than just seeing how the colorwheel works. Knowing all the stuff about the earth atmosphere and the optical things about color might be nice.. I think?
So, I'm lost. Please help me out a bit! Can you recommend something?
Thanks! |

In addition, one of the best sources for color theory for illustrators (meaning practical application) is Loomis' book Creative Illustration. If you can hang on a few more weeks it will be posted on my Creative Illustration Web site for download.
I've had some schedule setbacks so it's going to be a few more days 'til I get the first section on "Line" completed. Then "Tone" is next up. "Color" is the section after that.
Hmmm... sounds like a familiar order - line(drawing),tone(value),color... |
