Well, here goes nothin'

I've done it before, I've just forgotten how, when you are animating a character with bones and the skin modifier in 3ds max r3 and then link each end bone to a dummy how do you allow movement in the y axis, if I pull the dummy on the arm for example it moves the arm around but only in the x and z axis...anyways any help would be appreciated, I have a 3d character competition comming up in may for my school for skills ontario (attended last year also) I just haven't done much 3d lately, and any other tips for animated characters would be duefully appreciated *hint* *hint* keeping in mind for 3ds max r3 without character studio...I feel so stupid for forgetting, anyways.....talk to ya'll later:-)
