At home, I hit save for web, and no colors are off. At work, on a Mac (if that matters), I save for web, put the gif or jpeg in a web page...and colors don't match (with the background for example that was color picked from the image itself even).

I've noticed, the colors get changed even in the preview mode (in both original and optimizied views). I'm using the same set-up as home, Selective pallete or whatever...stuff like that. So, is it the mac, the prefs...? Plus, using the color picker on a saved gif or jpeg gives a slightly different color..pf! nuff explainin...anybody know an answer or help on this? ~thanks

Thanks Frost for searching on that.
They're talking about the same thing...but no real answer there. The site they were making had a background of a red that got messed up through my problem, and they accepted it.

I'm having trouble cause I have a background of white, a cell background which is blue...and I use the eyedropper to use that blue to make a graphic that has white text within a blue box for example. I save for web and instantly the blues are off, (when putting the graphic on the blue) and you see the difference. (All I can think of are preferences, which I've checked...and perhaps just a bug in 5.5? But, it doesn't happen at home...? I dunno...
