Whats up with Blue Planet? The all 3d movie Rainbow Studios was working on. They had the cool trailer with White Zombie playin? I heard it was put off, then started again, then canceled, then picked up by someone. Anyone got the scoop?

| wish i knew what you are talking about. Was out shopping today and say a Scifi book called Blue planet. dont knwo who the author is but i read the back of the book. Its about mars beign colonated by humans in the year 2250 or something. Had a nice cover page mars looked like earth heh go figure. |

I wish I knew too. That trailer looked awesome, but it's been so long with so little word I figured the project went kaput.
Anything I saw about Rainbow Studios never mentioned it, they just talked about ST: Roughnecks.

i saw the trailer for that hehehe, it was neat, it was started like in 1997 or so.
damn thats a while ago. wonder if it will get finished too.
it looked neat....no cute bugs here!!!

The book you are talking about is the 2nd in a trilogy. The first book is Red Mars, then Blue Mars, and finally Green Mars. I can't remember who the author is off the top of my head, but the series is fantastic. Definately pick up those books and give them a read if you enjoy sci-fi.

Ya, I remember this film as well. Rainbow studios was going to do it. I talked to a guy that works there and asked about it. He said the project is dead, apparently they couldn't get the funding to produce it. That was as far as they got (the trailers). sucks the ship design and what not was really cool.

I think I checked into that about a year ago, cause I was wondering the same thing. I never found any info on the project OR Rainbow Studios. Plus, they haven't updated their website since they put out that trailer. I think their venture capitalists found out there was no gold at the end of that rainbow  |
