better than my cuts back in 5th grade. i always carved a bit too deep. so angry at that age, so soon.

this is an etching I did.. onto a sheet of plastic. I found this rather hard.

admirable work Freddio. Yeah, drypoint is tough to work with smoothly. Real etching (with zinc plates and acid and all that) is easier to etch and print, but there is of course all that acid.
here's a block I did, and the corresponding print:

Man, I cut myself really bad doing that one time when I was 15. Plus the prints ended up being shit.
I like yours, but the mouth is crooked and there's some weirdness with her left eye. Maybe that is part of the style, I don't know.
My favorite part is the nose. Very clean. what is she thinking about? |
