to throw my kinda definition in...

the emotion perceiving stuff is bullshit. art is just that, art/skill. artful/skillful.

let's take two opposites here. who? i dunno. i can't randomy think of but two names, mullins and *gasp* myself.

mullins has both the vision and the skill, which he utilizes in a rather impressive way in creating things. his only obstacle is his imagination in the road to a very nice drawing/painting.

me, i lack that. that's my problem; i can't draw worth a fuck. that's why my special perks are in textures and interfaces and print media and the like.

see what i'm tryin' ta say yo nikka g? you should. it's skill, not the ability to make the piece cause someone perceive the emotion.

a modern artist whos name eludes me right now deficated in a can, wrote a label with his name on it, and auctioned it for many thousands. i dont know if that fits in with the thread, anuways is that art ?

most photomanipulation i have seen is just a thousand photos together with alot of distortion and tone changes and some angsty "poetry" on top of it.

it's a very rare occassion that a person who's into photo manip' actually goes and adds drawn elements / refines the "piece" by hand or adds to it by drawing/painting. i'd like to see this. and no, a nin-logo doesn't count.
