Got my first Pen tablet not too long ago, happy happy joy joy...But to be honest, I aint got a damn clue how to use it effectively. Parents/grandparents sorta threw it at me as a combined b-day/christmas present. Got all my settings and crap, just basically need to know a quick way to get the colors out. Using Photoshop 6.0 for the coloring, also would like to know a quick way to get the lighter and darker tones of colors and such, new to the program as well. I really don't want to worry about smoothing the colors etc....just whipping the colors out real quick like so they are there..then I'll work from that. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. |

Read the tutorials, read all that junk =P But I'm looking for TIPS on how one might do things FASTER, not how to do something period...Quick ways to switch colos, or just a quick way to do a preliminary sketch type painting with the basic colors...what i'm thinkin of here are those little 10-30 minute drawings Isric does on occassion. Just the basic form |

DW: The tablet is a hard tool to get used for many at first. Give it some time and a LOT of practice. Then there's learning the basics of photoshop, like certain hotkeys that will make you more proficient. Don't set yourself to do something in 30 minutes at first, but rather give you a lot of free time to experiment, and find your own methods and procedures. When you have done so, you cana look around people's methods and take in what you like. Good luck. |
