When I want to change the font when makeing a text in Photoshop 5.5, it will crash as I scroll through the different fonts!
By scrolling through the fonts, I mean by selecting a font then changing it so I can see the preview of what my text is going to look like.
Anyone....?

sounds like one of the fonts you have loaded into memory is corrupt or the format of it is unreadable by PS. there's nothing specific I could recommend though |

Hmmm, I had one font that would crash PS if I tried previewing it...it was a font called Slaine, I believe. It would only crash if I had the Italics and/or Bold check boxes checked. I guess PS didn't like trying to make that particular font bold or italic. If you have a bunch of fonts from the internet this could be the case for which I have no solution other than to know which ones give you problems or to always turn off those check boxes when scrolling down through your fonts. Hope this helps.

i had this problem a year ago. i could not figure out the problem, so i un-installed photoshop and rebooted. then re-installed PS. if it still gives you the fits....i would try a CURRENT virus scan.
you may also try to remove all of the recent fonts you have installed. if you need more help, look me up!
