| I like the pic... but I don't really know bout the sharp small highlights. Especially around his mouth it looks like he has saliva all around. Is it supposed to look like that? |

Since I follow the Tolkien view of Orcs I see them a little bit differently. Tolkien made them to be the opposit3e of elves, turned by Melkor into hideous, mindless servants. I've never been able to see the 'pig' type orc.
Still this is very well done and I'm very impressed you didn't use a green color for his skin. Bravo |

Yeas you are right on target. I wanted the nostrils and mouth area to have a little wetness.

Thanks! I have a couple of Tolkien style orc sketches laying around too. I tried to blend both versions of Orc into this one although the AD&D style dominates it. The skin color started off as a peach/flesh color and then I added a slight bit of olive green and blues over it.

Thanks Dives. I just wish I had a pen tablet because now I am doing some small hair strands on his chin and eyebrows and the mouse really sucks when doing individual strands of hair. I really need to break down and get something like a Graphire because using a mouse is a major crutch and I believe I could do much better with a tablet.
